    What the feedback covers

    Example: a typical 2:1 introduction vs a First-class one

    2:1: "The distinction between acts and omissions has long played an important role in end-of-life decisions. This essay will examine the case law and academic debate before reaching a conclusion."

    First-class: "The act/omission distinction is doctrinally significant but morally indefensible. This essay argues that the courts rely on it to avoid a more honest debate about intention and responsibility, and that 'significance' should be measured not by frequency of use, but by the work it actually does."

    Real, considered feedback

    A typical essay takes me 45–50 minutes to mark properly. Your first piece often takes longer, because there is more groundwork to lay. This is not a tickbox rubric: it is the feedback I wished I had received as a student.

    Academic integrity — we do not help students cheat

    Bridge Law Courses exists to help students learn, not to do their work for them. We only give feedback on essays that have already been submitted and marked, or on practice essays written entirely outside of formal assessment. We will not review, edit or comment on any piece of work that is going to be submitted for a grade, and we do not write, sell, ghost-write or supply coursework, dissertations, personal statements, take-home exams or any other work on a student's behalf. Requests of that kind will be declined and reported to the relevant body.
